BREAKING NEWS | Remember the giants
July, 2008-
WIS was contracted by Sparkplug, Inc (formally Telespectra) to decommission part of the old MCI microwave backbone that ran from Las Vegas, Nevada to Dominguez Hills, California. This system was deployed over 20 years ago and was used to carry long distance traffic "back in the day". WIS was engaged to transform the site called Yucca Grove back to its original condition, "like the microwave system never existed", and we did just that in quick order. We all forgot how big these conical antennas really were, it makes you appreciate the tower crews that built these systems across the country.
