BREAKING NEWS | WIS upgrades AT&T Wireless microwave systems in Bakersfield, CA

WIS has been engaged with at&t wireless since we opened in 2004. Our staff has surveyed, designed, installed, tested, upgraded, or maintained over 200 microwave links for AT&T in Southern California during this time. Most recently WIS crews upgraded a number of low capacity backbone links from 28T radios to 4DS3 Harris Constellation high capacity radios in Bakersfield, CA. This project was completed in support of AT&T's region-wide capacity increase needed to support user demand for both voice and data services.

 Based on the reduced threshold and fade margin when increasing capacity, WIS recommended this path be upgraded to diversity before deploying – then once on site diversity became a requirement for obvious reasons |
