WIS family and friends get together to enjoy the last days of summer during its annual company picnic and softball tournament held at Parkview Park in Corona, CA on August 29, 2009. The day was packed with fun-filled activities for all ages. We started the day off with a little friendly competition as four teams battled for bragging rights and the coveted WIS Softball Tournament World Champion trophy followed by Fun Olympics consisting of various games from relay races, pie-eating contest, tug-o-war, and a pie-eating contest. Throughout the event, kids enjoyed three giant bouncers, kids craft stations, and a cotton candy and snow cone station to beat the heat. Lucky winners won gift cards and prizes throughout the day during the raffle giveaways and as the group enjoys a hearty Chuckwagon BBQ-style spread, WIS management honors employees during the employee awards ceremony to acknowledge and thank its employees for their unwavering commitment, hard work, and dedication that has brought WIS success through the years.

Despite the heat, this year's company picnic and softball tournament was a success and surely a day to remember!

The employee awards ceremony recognized accomplishments of all magnitudes. Brianna, Kami and Jeff receive the Milestone Award honoring their 5th year with WIS.	Scott receives the Commitment to Excellence award for his outstanding service, dedication above and beyond the call of duty, and drive for perfection in support of the company's goal to be the best in the industry.
Bill receives the Reliability Award in recognition of an outstanding attendance record and demonstrated reliability	After sending out a company-wide poll, the company unanimously selects Travis Donahue, President, to receive the “Guy Wire Award”. The company duly recognizes Travis' constant support and efforts in ensuring the steady growth and success of the company. Just as guy wires are to the structures we work on, the company relies on a strong, reliable, and steadfast leader as its support system.
Kevin is the proud recipient of both the Commitment to Safety Award for most service hours without a safety incident and “Burning Rubber Award” for most out of town work.	WIS also recognized employees who bring character and fun to the workplace with fun awards like Sandy’s “Deer in Headlights” award.
After a long, fun day it’s time to retire our jerseys – until next year!
