BREAKING NEWS | WIS attends the 14th annual NATE 2009 Conference and Exposition

As part of its ongoing commitment to improve company safety programs and keep abreast of the latest industry developments and safety equipment, WIS is proud to have taken part in the 14th annual NATE (National Association of Tower Erectors) Conference and Exposition, held at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville, Tennessee from February 23rd thru the 26th. WIS was represented by its Safety Manager, Brian Donahue, who noted, "this [conference] was the best one yet!"

The exposition featured displays of the latest innovations in the broadcast and telecommunications tower construction, maintenance and service industry, from manufacturers and suppliers throughout the United States and Canada. Seventeen different educational sessions/seminars were offered including: RF Safety, Fall Protection, Hazcom, Rigging and Crane Safety, and more. Brian Donahue had the opportunity to attend several educational sessions and commented, "All of these sessions had important up to date information on work processes and safety practices that help us maintain a viable and safe environment for our employees."

NATE is a non-profit trade association that provides members with uniform safety standards, improved communications, and a unified voice for tower erection, service and maintenance companies. NATE is recognized as the industry leader in promoting safety, education and uniform practices and procedures. As a voting member of NATE, WIS proudly supports the association’s motto- "Safety from the Ground Up."

Guest speakers provided insightful information on latest
industry trends and developments and ways to improve safety programs to adapt to such changes and developments

Educational sessions and seminars ranged from
small forums, to sessions of up to 200 attendees

the opportunity to interact with vendors and exhibitors
to discuss new products and services

The exhibit floor also included product demonstrations
