BREAKING NEWS | WIS Relocates CA BLM, AZ BLM, and AZ FWS equipment at Black Mtn, CA
September 10, 2009- Imperial County, CA
In May of 2009, WIS was awarded a $1MM+ contract with IVECA (Imperial County Emergency Communications Authority) for the development of 3 new communications facilities located in Eastern Imperial County. As part of this project, the BLM owned site at Black Mtn needed to be relocated to allow for the construction of the new state of the art facility that will house a number of federal, state, and local public safety communications systems. This relocation was a collaborative effort between various agencies with planning, management and installation being performed by WIS. The relocation was completed successfully with minimal downtime for all parties. Construction is expected to begin on the new site in December of 2009.
WIS would like to thank IVECA, Imperial County, Imperial Irrigation District, State of California, Arizona Bureau of Land Management, California Bureau of Land Management, and the Arizona Fish and Wildlife service for their support of this project.
