BREAKING NEWS | WIS Deploys TEMP Unlicensed Microwave System for AT&T Mobility

Contracted through Bechtel on behalf of at&t Mobility, WIS was tasked with locating a suitable donor site to feed 6 new T1's to a new wireless facility... in a hurry! WIS mapped out existing sites, verified circuit availability, contacted site managers, completed preliminary desktop engineering, and dispatched survey crews to verify LOS within hours of the call from at&t. Clear LOS was established, final engineering completed, and materials gathered that same day. WIS obtained approval from Crown Castle to place the TEMP microwave antenna at one of their managed facilities and the next day WIS crews deployed, aligned, and tested the unlicensed microwave system. All materials, including the microwave radios came from WIS stock and the system was ready to go on air in 2 days total time.
This is a typical TEMP installation timeline for WIS when donor searches, engineering, and landowner approvals are required. Under emergency circumstances, this timeline is often much shorter and in some cases landowner approvals and suitable donors take longer to obtain. In all cases, regardless of circumstance, WIS provides a complete turnkey system that meets client reliability standards and WIS installation standards for quality. Our "TEMP" installations are cleaner than most permanent microwave systems completed by others and when providing all equipment, WIS provides full time support until the system is decommissioned.
