BREAKING NEWS | WIS Completes Microwave Backbone Upgrade For AT&T

WIS completed this microwave backbone upgrade using HarrisStratex 4DS3 Constellation radios. The project included dish upgrades, site relocations, tower analysis and upgrades, hot swaps, traffic re-routing and grooming, new system installation and radio hotcuts along the I-10 corridor from Riverside, CA to Arizona. This system is a main artery of AT&T's backhaul network providing transport for nearly 100 cell sites. WIS tower crews and microwave techs executed flawlessly during the upgrade effort, which included a number of hotcuts involving antennas, DC power, and radios inside of a small maintenance window.
