BREAKING NEWS | City of Newport Beach and WIS provide nesting opportunities for some resident hawks on the City's communication tower

WIS was contracted by Embee Technologies to relocate 2 of the City’s whip antennas on their existing 300’ guyed tower. In 2008, WIS was contracted to install several new microwave links into this facility for the City of Newport Beach. During our last trip, WIS volunteered to install a custom bird nest fabricated by the City. The goal was to entice a few resident hawks to breed and utilize the nest. Based on our most recent visit, the project is a success!
